Comments (English):
We booked a double sea view room which I highly recommend, we had a wild, amazing view from our room over looking the sea. In the morning we went up to the roof after breakfast to admire the view and in the evening went up to see the spectacular sunset. The staff were really friendly and made a delicious breakfast in the morning. The Riad was a short walk to the main street in the Medina and quiet at night. I would recommend staying here whilst in Essaouira.

Cogimos el apartamento. Tal vez un poco caro, pero vale la pena si se usa la cocina.
Las vistas son preciosas, las fotos no engañan. Todo está cuidado al detalle, aunque faltan algunos utensilios de cocina.
El servicio fue estupendo. Todo muy limpio y el personal es muy amable.
Sólo una pega, mi pareja mide 1,87 y, aunque por poco, no cabía derecho ni en la habitación ni en el baño.

Comments (English):
Schönes Riad in der Altstadt von Essauoira, freundliche, saubere Zimmer in marokkanischem Stil. Super Dachterrasse zum Frühstücken etc. mit Blick über die Altstadt und aufs Meer. Freundlicher Service, es wird Französisch und etwas Englisch gesprochen. Empfehlenswert!

Comments (English):
Good Dar and very good hosting (nice rooms, good badroom, perfect breakfast and nice roof terrace!) Perfect place from where you can undertake a lot of activities because you are close to the center and close to the beach and visherman's place. Everything can be done on foot.
It is the second time we have gone to the hostel and we recommend it to everyone visiting essaouira.

Nice clean, spacious room, very friendly staff. A good flexibe breakfast time avalible indoors or on the terrace which was very pleasant. No problems at all, lovely place to relax in. Would advise having a sea view room as there is a Hamman next door which can get smokey, which can drift into the back rooms.

we liked the place very much: a liitle aside from the port, calm neighbourhood.
friendly staff, breakfast on the roof, house on the village wall, renovation with lovely details, nice bathroom, rooms not to big, but sufficient (you do not need much bagagge in morocco - at least we think that!). rooms with full sea view are booked early. worth the money!

My friend and I stayed in Dar Al Bajar just for 2 nights - and we liked this ryad a lot. Of coarse we couldn’t find a better place.
The hotel is well located in the medina, on the street that goes along the fortress wall. It was very easy to find it – you just go straight along that street until you see the sigh with the name of hotel. But be prepared that cars and taxies cannot enter the medina (they leave you near the main square) and you need to carry your luggage or hire man with wheelbarrow. This way is not very long - about 6 minutes walk. Near the hotel there is bastion with cannons where tourists and local people like to sit.
What I liked the most was the terrace on the roof with a view to the ocean and the city. The view of the sunset was amazing, we’ve made many beautiful photos.
The breakfast was very pleasant: fruit salad, jam, butter, bread, croissants, fresh orange juice, tea (or coffie/cacao) – it was served on the terrace.
We leaved in room called Aziza, windows opened on the street. I liked the decoration of the room – with paintings, lamps, etc. Everything was fresh and clean. There was +38 on the street, but in room it was cool. There were always bunches of flowers in the corridor and hall. Everything there was made with such kindness and hospitality.
Sometimes there was a little noise in the night coming from the street. Because the streets are narrow and the acoustics is very good indeed. But if you decide to live in the medina you should be ready for that. I suppose that rooms with a ocean view are not noisy at all (only the noise of the ocean).
The stuff and hosts of the hotel were very kind, always trying to help, asking how we liked the city, etc. Thanks them a lot.
I would like to return to Essaouira and stay in Dar Al Bajar again.

A l'écart du centre animé, près de la Squala, c'est ce qui fait son charme.
Cette maison offre une belle vue sur la mer depuis son toit terrasse.
Accueil efficace mais discret. Petit déjeuner basique. Chambre propre.
